Puerto Rico Beach

About the Beach

Less than an hour's drive from Casa del Mundo, you will find yourself on a white sand and turquoise Caribbean beach.

Some claim that the beaches of Guanica are by far the most beautiful Caribbean beaches on the main island of Puerto Rico. Down the mountains and westward onto Rt 2, then south to the sleepy port town of Guanica, you will come to a series of lovely beaches nestled on the edge of the famous, “El Bosque Seco de Guanica,” (the largest remaining tract of tropical dry coastal forest in the world, and designated an international Biosphere Reserve in 1981).

This relatively nearby beach includes access to kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and hiking. There are many trails ideal for those who are adventurous. There are hotels, cafes and restaurants in the area perfect for Caribbean refreshments.
